Youth Today Face More Complex Problems Than Ever.

Crime and unsafe neighborhoods, hunger and food instability, mental health concerns, and limited access to enriching learning experiences all put too many futures at risk. These are just some of the stark challenges local youth face; many of which are compounded by poverty.

In Silicon Valley:

  • 272,132 youth have nowhere to go after school.
  • Over 60% of students attending schools we serve are unable to meet grade level requirements in math, science, and/or English language arts.

  • Approximately 46% of children live in households that don’t earn enough money to cover basic needs.
  • As early as sixth grade, 3 out of 4 students living in high-poverty neighborhoods and demonstrating at least one of the three “off track” indicators (poor attendance, disruptive behavior or lack of effort, and failure particularly in math or English) will not graduate from high school.

At Boys & Girls Clubs, we give kids the chance to dream big.

Santa Clara County’s kids and teens need our help. That’s why Boys & Girls Clubs exist: to provide a safe place, caring mentors, and quality programs to empower youth to excel in school and lead healthy, productive lives.

We can’t do it alone. We need your help.

Making a difference in a child’s life doesn’t happen by accident. Caring community members like you help Boys & Girls Clubs break down barriers by volunteering and providing financial assistance, so that youth who need it most can belong to a connected, engaged, and healthy community.

By making a donation – large or small – you can join hundreds of Boys & Girls Clubs supporters who believe in creating opportunities for a better life for young people. Everyone has a role to play, and every gift makes a difference.

We invite you to join us in this transformative work.
