Moms, this one's for you!

This special Mother's Day project is put together for you by Faith Rosali from the Levin Clubhouse. Anyone can make these for themselves or for that special mom in their life! It is a sure way to make sure they feel spoiled!

This video includes Bath Bomb, Face Mask, and Moisturizing Mask directions.

Ingredients are posted below the video.

1. Bath Bomb Ingredients

1/2 cup citric acid

1/2 cup corn starch

4 tbsp coconut oil

2 tbsp body oil

Couple drops of food coloring

8-10 drops of scented essential oil like lavender

  1. Place citric acid, baking soda, cornstarch, and oil in a bowl.

  2. Add eight to 10 drops of the essential oil or blend of choice.

  3. Mix well with spoon until soft dough is formed. It should have the consistency of damp sand. Note: If the mixture is too wet, try adding a little more baking soda and cornstarch until consistency is correct.

  4. At this point, you may add food coloring if you'd like to add any.

  5. Place mixture in silicone molds. Let sit 24 hours before removing from mold.

  6. To use, drop in tub or shower and allow to dissolve.

2. Exfoliating Face Mask

4 tbsp ground coffee

2 tbsp coconut oil

1 tbsp water

Directions: Mix all ingredients together and apply to face for 10-15 minutes.

3. Moisturing Mask

1 tbsp honey

2 tbsp coconut oil

1 drop lavender oil

Mix raw honey with coconut oil and lavender essential oil (optional) by stirring with a toothpick or small spoon. If the mixture is too liquidy, throw it in the fridge for 5-10 minutes. Once it’s hardened slightly, remove from the fridge and whip it with a spoon.

After cleansing your skin, apply to your face with your fingers using small circular strokes. Leave the mask on for 10-15 minutes.

  • One sheet of printer paper or construction paper folded

  • Another sheet of printer paper

  • Paint (we used acrylic)

  • A heart shape cut out or you can draw it

  • Glue

  • Markers or pen

  • This poem to add to your card:

I know you wipe some away,

But these prints were made to stay.

So keep them forever, a treasure they'll be.

A special 'I LOVE YOU' for you from me.

  1. Fold your first sheet of printer paper or construction paper in half to make the card.

  2. On your second sheet of paper, draw a heart shape that will fit on the front of your card. This is where you will fill in with fingerprint art.

  3. Dip your finger in paint and fill the heart shape with fingerprints. We kept to 3 colors for each heart.

  4. Once the paint has dried cut out the heart. You will be left with a neat heart of fingerprints.

  5. Glue this to the front and center of your folded card.

  6. Add the poem either to the front or the inside. Remember to write "Happy Mother's Day!"
